Sunday Post #97: Rain, rain, don’t go away!

Posted April 3, 2022 by Angie in Sunday Post / 4 Comments

In weather news, we got some rain! Quite a bit of rain actually. It was super humid on Sunday, then it started pouring around bedtime and continued on and off in bursts through Monday. It was pretty nice. I love the rain, even if it means we’re stuck inside. Fiona was quite vocal at walking time, but unless she wants to walk herself, she’s stuck in the house with me! The weather did go back to hot and windy though.

I started last week by beating Kaze and the Wild Masks. I was surprised at how short it was (only four worlds?!), but also I skipped a lot of levels because I wasn’t having fun and kept dying and didn’t want to put in the effort. But now that I’m done, I might go back and play some of the levels I gave up on. But also…I found the game dull and lifeless. The graphics are pretty, but it’s boring. So, probably not.

What is the exact opposite of dull and lifeless is Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Now that I was done with Kaze, I got into this one for real and it’s so good! The graphics are gorgeous and the story is fun and the gameplay is varied! This is a pretty long-haul game though, so I’m playing it in chunks rather than focusing on beating it. That means I also finally started Little Bug, which is harder than it looks! The game mechanics are similar to Super Mario Galaxy‘s pull stars, which I quite love! I’m having a lot of fun with it.

Obviously, I also bought some games: Moonlighter, My Big Sister, Felix the Reaper, and Hero Hours Contract.
