Spring is definitely here! The first week of the season brought with it the return of hot weather. It was in the 80s all week, with some windy days. A very dangerous combination. It’s suppose to cool down a little bit, but I sense we’re going to have a hot and dry spring, followed by an especially hot and drier summer. I’m going to have to take the doggies on their walk much earlier to beat the heat.
I started the week by beating Super Mario 3D World! It was a fun, but underwhelming game. At least I got to play the entire thing as Princess Peach, and she got to save the world for once. There’s still some post-credit worlds to explore, but I decided to move along to Bowser’s Fury! Which I also beat on Tuesday! It’s a super short game, but it was a lot of fun. And like always, there’s a lot more post-credit game to do when I decide to pick it up again.
Of course, I also had to buy some games. I got Kaze and the Wild Masks, which has been on my wish list for a little while now since it’s compared to Donkey Kong. And I got Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, which I only just discovered, but I love the story of playing as a goddess of harvest, planting rice, and fighting demons! Both of those are physical games. Then I grabbed more digital games, because obviously: Forager, Murder by Numbers, Röki, Lost in Random, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.
I spend way more time researching games than I’d care to admit! There’s just so many out there! I probably spend more time reading/watching reviews, watching gameplay, and just generally searching for games to add to my never-ending wish list than I actually do playing! But I did start playing Forager and before I knew it, six hours has passed?! It’s so addicting! I also started Kaze and the Wild Masks, and I’m not impressed so far. Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is excellent though!
Of course, I also watching the second season of Bridgerton on Friday! It was sooo good! The Netflix two season curse better not come for this show!
