Sunday Post #31: Last one of 2020!

Posted December 27, 2020 by Angie in Sunday Post / 4 Comments

Finally, the “holidays” are over! Back to regular life. Whatever that means in 2020, which is almost over! Only four days left until a new year! If only the clock hitting midnight would fix the world.

Anyway, I spend this week reading more Ice Planet Barbarians and contemplating creating my own Ice Planet in The Sims. Not that I would build an ice planet, because I hate building and decorating, but more like creating a bunch of alien Sims and a small group of human Sims and setting them forth to breed like bunnies! That could be fun. And set the weather to perpetual winter to see what happens.

I also started watching Tiny Pretty Things and did not enjoy it at all. It’s slow and boring and I swear they set up the most awkward shots just to show butt crack. I have nothing against sex and nudity in shows. In fact, I’m all for it. But I really do believe those scenes were staged in a way just to feature butts, because it just looked awkward and not natural. Not to mention these are suppose to be teenagers. I only watched two episodes. I might try again, because maybe it gets better?

On the other hand, I binged all of Bridgerton on Friday and I am delighted. Yes, I am aware of the problematic scene. It is problematic. I still loved the show though. I can’t wait for more!

Furthermore, I am working on more fun stuff! All shall be revealed soon.

I had to grab some more Ice Planet Barbarians! My hold of the Outlander audiobook also became available. That’s another series I want to reread (books 1-3) before continuing, as I’d like to get caught up in 2021 and possibly rewatch Season 1 and continue the show. However, I don’t know when I would listen to this mammoth book. I might just end up reading it, since I own 1-8 on my Kindle.

Sharing is caring!

There’s a problematic scene in Bridgerton? I got to episode 3 last night before falling asleep but was absolutely loving it. (To be fair, a problematic scene isn’t going to put me off or stop me watching/liking it either… There’s at least one problematic thing in most shows.)

Hope you have a good new year and enjoy creating alien sims! 🙂

    • Twitter is absolutely abuzz about that scene (it’s in episode 6), and it seems like no matter what you say about it, someone gets mad. And you’re absolutely right that there’s problematic aspects in everything! It’s problematic, we need to acknowledge that, but attacking each other for still enjoying the overall show is madness.

I hadn’t noticed the scene that scene in Bridgerton ? My eyes were more offended by the costumes and my ears by the music, I must say, but I enjoyed watching it and the duke is hot 🙂
