Sunday Post #27: Winter is coming!

Posted November 29, 2020 by Angie in Sunday Post / 8 Comments

My mom decorated the house for Christmas this week, before Thanksgiving! I am very much against that. Let each holiday have its time to shine! Why does Christmas get to take over early?! Boo! But Thursday evening I started my 31 days of Chrismahanukwanzakahyear movies, much like I did for Halloween. So far, I’ve watched Jingle Jangle, Christmas on the Square, The Grinch, and Holidate. They were all cute.

I did all of my Black Friday shopping! Even though NONE of it happened ON Black Friday. In fact, one of my orders arrived on Wednesday. We should probably just start calling it Black November. Either way, I’m excited for pretty new clothes.

Last week was also the week of the great Fever Series reread! I finished the first four books so far and I’m having such a good time! I’m glad I finally decided to just go for it. I normally want to focus on reading as many new-to-me books as possible, but sometimes revisiting old favorites is good too.

The last of my library holds are still in transit (two weeks?!) so I didn’t bother going last week. I’ll pick them all up this week. I still have plenty of Fever to hold me over!

  1. I put all my decorations up this weekend and now getting ready for the cozy Christmas season. We watched the Christmas Chronicles yesterday and plan to watch the next one next weekend. I want to watch movies with the family on Saturdays trying to make this year some what normal.

I hope you have a great week, Angie! Happy Reading! xx

  2. I haven’t done my Christmas decorations yet. Usually we do them Thanksgiving week, but didn’t this year. I guess everything is different in 2020? I do agree, this black Friday being all month is much better. I haven’t actually done any shopping yet though. Not even sure what I’m buying for who 🙄. Guess we should get on that!

Love the blog, it’s so cute! Welcome back 😍

    • 2020 is so bizarre, but it was also easy to not overspend this year since there’s really nowhere to go, nothing to do, so yay?

Thanks! It’s great to be back! 😀

    • My next door neighbor put up his “Winter Wonderland” over a week ago! But he always goes all out and is super extra. But I can’t really talk because I have my HalloXmas decorations up year round. My mom calls it my shrine to the dark side (I have spooky trees with Christmas balls and glitter pumpkins, etc). 😛
