Sunday Post #124: Hot and spooky!

Posted October 9, 2022 by Angie in Sunday Post / 4 Comments

Another week has come and gone. Super fast. It was still hot, in the 90s. Why can’t it cool down already?! I want crisp air and to wear tights and snuggling up in a hoodie! But the forecast shows ANOTHER week of 90s weather, when just a few days ago it showed it dropping to the 70s. I’m sick of the heat! It’s normally cold and rainy on my birthday (next Sunday), but I guess we’re stuck in a heat wave.

In gaming news, I had finished all of the quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley. I wanted to work on rearranging and decorating, but I just didn’t know where to start! And I only have a week left of Game Pass (for now, I will be back!), so I decided to go back to my Switch for some spooky season games! I started with Bulb Boy, which is a creepy point-and-click game that I grabbed a while back. It was fine. Not quite what I was expecting or wanting. Then I started Pumpkin Jack, which should be exactly my kind of game: Halloween themed 3D platformer! So far the camera and controls are kind of janky, but…hopefully it smooths out.

And I finally got to catch up on the last two weeks of House of the Dragon. That show is getting crazy! These episodes were way better than those first three. I won’t be able to watch tonight’s until Wednesday, but I’m excited to see where things are going.

Lots of good stuff this week! I wanted to reread Six Crimson Cranes before getting to the sequel which I got a couple weeks ago, so I need to make sure to keep my Kindle offline in case it expires before I get to it!

  1. Ah man, here it’s been a mix of dying of warmth one day for the next to be frosting and absolutely TOO COLD, rinse and repeat. I hate it. šŸ˜†

Hoping you enjoyed the halloween games you picked up! plateformers are not my kind of games.. as my jumping is kind of wonky as i’m a zelda player ahah my current obsession has been Paper Mario on the N64 on the switch!

    • That is wild! It doesn’t get like freezing (or near to freezing) cold here until like….late December. Or even January.

I have yet to play a Zelda game! I’m hoping to grab Link’s Awakening during Black Friday though. šŸ™‚
