Sunday Post #114: Boom!

Posted July 31, 2022 by Angie in Sunday Post / 10 Comments

Well, last week started off with a bang. Literally. Near the end of my shift on Sunday, we suddenly got wrangled up and weren’t allowed to leave after some bangs. Fireworks? Gunshots? Who knows?!! Well, it turned out to be fireworks. But I missed the last bus home, so I had to wait for a ride. What a way to start the week. They did let us pick a free beverage for the….inconvenience, so I grabbed a Starbucks. How nice.

But I did finally “beat” Stardew Valley! Ghost Grandpa thought I was doing awesome, his alter is all lit up, and I am ready for another year of farming! Except that I’m taking a break from the game for now. Like I said a few weeks ago, I am definitely buying it later on and going to make the bestest farm in the universe! But now I’m back to Omori as my main game, and I’m really into it! The art style and music are A+, and the gameplay and story really connected with me now! I did hit a point where I had to grind for EXP a bit, but it wasn’t bad at all. Just serves me right for avoiding some battles earlier!

New Books:

Nothing to see here!

Another week of no books! I have two more library books to read, which have technically been returned already. But I just haven’t turned my Kindle wi-fi on, so I still have them.

Sharing is caring!

    • Stardew Valley is so addicting! I’m starting to lose interest in Animal Crossing, which makes me sad. But there will be other games!

  1. What a relief it was fireworks! With the way things have been of late, I would have been so nervous. Of course, I’m in texas where pretty much anyone can carry a firearm (without a license) so yeah it’s more likely to be gunshots here.

Hope you have a great week!

  2. No! Sucks that you missed the bus because of all the ruckus. But I am VERY glad that it was just fireworks. Hope this week goes better for you!

    • It was an interesting night, since no one would tell us what was going on, and suddenly everyone is talking about gunshots…only to have it be fireworks.
