Series Report: Urf Oomons #1-3 by Bebe Harper

It’s no secret that Alien Romance has totally become my jam over the last year or so. Mandy and the Tentacle Monster popped up in my recommendations, and I knew I had to read it! I mean, look at that cover! And tentacle monsters! I’m so glad I did, because it was so much fun! It’s a much lighter series than the other alien abduction/breeder series that I’ve read.

In Urf Oomons, humans are regarded as pampered pets, not sex slaves. Not to say that sex slavery isn’t brought up, because it is, but the women of this series have not been through that. Mandy was being kept as an adored pet until her mate realized that she was a sentient being. Now she’s an adored partner.

Thanks to his brother’s relationship, and his friendship with Mandy, Lu was already aware that Gloria was her own person. She is kidnapped several times throughout Chasing Cthulhu and is in a questionable situation (what is the deal with Sal and Shawn?!), but nothing heavy like in Ice Planet Barbarians or Xiveri Mates.

Tentacled aliens aren’t the only kind in this series though. We meet several species, including the spider variety that is featured in Spider Alien’s Bite. I can’t even begin to imagine a giant spider as sexy, but I loved this third book. The Arana-Vora are a very interesting species and there’s some great world-building. Along with a very strange mystery of an entire planet just up and vanishing for fifty years….

Mandy is abducted by aliens and kept as a pet. These aliens seem nice enough, but she needs to figure out how to communicate with them and get back to Earth.

Her alien captor finds everything about his new pet adorable, from her tiny toes to her blunted claws to her shiny mane. He will do everything in his power to make sure that his cute little pet remains healthy and happy.

But what happens when this giant tentacled alien finds out his lovely pet is a sentient person who wants more from him than pets and treats?

This is a slow-burn alien/human romance intended for adult readers.

Hiding from her problems as she vacations at a beach house, Gloria's only concerns are walking her dog, relaxing by the pool, and kayaking. Then she spots a strange sea-creature stalking her as she paddles around a secluded cove.

Little does she know the mysterious creature is a tentacle alien!

Lu cannot help but follow this pretty Earth-Human around while he is waiting for rescue. He knew that humans were adorable, but this one draws his attention and entrances him.
