Set in the Night Huntress World, ancient deities are poised to wreck havoc, unless vampires Veritas and Ian can stop them!

A gift from the gods…

Veritas and Ian have finally defeated their worst enemy, but the power it took to pierce through to the netherworld has unexpected consequences. Soon, Veritas is forced to rely on the last person she trusts—a golden deity named Phanes, who seeks far more than a temporary alliance with the beautiful vampire.

Can unleash hell…

But an escape from the netherworld soon pits Veritas and Ian against supernatural beings seeking to rule over mortals once again. Now, they must rally friends and foes alike—if the vampire council doesn’t execute Veritas first. Plus, a wedge between Veritas and Ian threatens to destroy their love. Can they stand together against the unearthly powers about to be unleashed? Or does their love—and humanity—not stand a chance?

four-stars

Now that is a series finale! Wicked All Night had me hooked from the very beginning. The ending of the previous book was a huge WTF is happening moment, and this picks up exactly where it left off. Who is Phanes?! What is happening to Ian?! How is Veritas going to get them out of this?! It was a wild ride with no pit stops. Just scene after scene of chaos!

Wicked All Night drastically expands the world these books take place in. Sure, we knew gods had to exist, since Veritas is the child of one. But there’s way more out there than I could have imagined. We get to see parts of the Netherworld, which is not somewhere I’d like to spend much time in. Then there’s these other pocket worlds of other gods and celestial beings. At times, it did feel like the author was just adding more for the sake of more, but it does come together quite nicely.

All through the Night Huntress series there’s been talk of an impending war between species and the fear of crossbreeds. Well, that all finally comes to fruition in Wicked All Night, but not in the way that anyone anticipated. In fact, mixed species individuals are not the cause, but they may be the solution. When gods are involved, anything goes! While the final battle was interesting, it was quite rushed. I’m glad things worked out for my favorite bisexual vampires, but it went a bit too smoothly for my liking.

Wicked All Night was a fantastic end to this series. Yes, the final chapter was over too soon and kind of gave me whiplash. But I wasn’t mad at it. I just want more! There also wasn’t nearly enough of Ian/Veritas sexytimes, but I guess there was a war going on, sooo…

  1. Thanks for sharing Angie! I think Ian ending up saving Veritas rather than the other way around. And Asheal was a great help and I enjoyed him.
