Being kidnapped by aliens is one thing.

Being kidnapped by aliens and then sent to a prison planet is something infinitely worse.

Here in Haven's prison system, I'm stranded among strangers, enemies, and the most ruthless criminals in the galaxy. There's no safety for a human woman here, especially not one branded as a murderer. I'm doomed to a fate worse than death.

Then...he decides I should be his. His name's Jutari. He's seven feet tall, blue, and horned. He's an assassin and one of the most dangerous prisoners here. He's like no one I've ever met before...and he might be my only chance.

This story stands completely alone and is only marginally connected to the Ice Planet Barbarians or Corsairs series. You do not need to read those books in order to follow this one.

Proceed With Caution:

This book contains kidnapping, violence, gore, death, and mentions of rape.

The Basics:

Prison Planet Barbarian is a standalone but is slightly related to the author’s other books. Jutari is the same alien species as those in Ice Planet Barbarians and Corsairs.

My Thoughts:

I picked up Prison Planet Barbarian after finishing the entire Ice Planet Barbarians series and found myself needing more! Well, this certainly satisfied that craving! Instead of the familiar planet covered in snow, we’re on a Mars-like planet that is home to a massive prison. Chloe has just been brought in after killing nine (or was it twelve) aliens after being kidnapped and sold. Jutari is in the maximum security cells and takes one look at Chloe and claims her as his. Now, he just needs to get both of them out of prison and the heck off this planet!

Prison Planet Barbarian was a super quick, exciting, and scandalous read! Chloe and Jutari are locked together for a few days where he protects her from the other prisoners and guards by pretending to have claimed her. Of course, in his head, she really is his, but he’s not going to touch her without her permission. Chloe goes along with his ruse because it keeps her safe, and he’s pretty hot. And she desperately wants to escape and he’s her ticket out. From there, the two have to partner up, outsmart the guards, and fight their way to freedom!

I really enjoyed Prison Planet Barbarian. I’m a bit disappointed that it’s a standalone. I’d either love more of Chloe and Jutari’s adventures or just more escapes from the prison planet with the different type of aliens that we saw. There’s a handful of interesting women who could star in them. But as it is, I’m glad I read it!
