It’s just another Monster Monday…
Inferna expected many things to happen— but sparks flying between her, the office rival, and his lover was not one of them.Calen is a nerdy omega witch, one that Inferna wants to sink her teeth into. Art is a stuck-up boss but can be a little more charming outside the regular 9-5.
After an evil HR agent shows up with an agenda, everything starts to change. No one is safe, tensions are high, and the creatures of Warts & Claws Inc will have to fight spell and claw to make it to the weekend.
Can Inferna, Calen, and Art survive a work week from hell while discovering a love that’s off the charts?

Not So Kind Regards sounded exactly like my kind of thing! Magical menage?! Paranormal problems?! Dom-sub dynamics?! Yes, please! Unfortunately, it started off…odd and quickly went downhill. Inferna, Art, and Calen all work in the same building, but on different floors in their separate companies. When it starts, Inferna is furious that her coffee machine is gone, because Art took it. I don’t understand why he took it? He wanted coffee. Just make a cup of coffee! You don’t need to transport the entire machine! It was a very forced set up to get Inferna to go to Art’s office and catch him banging Calen. Not a great start, although I did like the tension between the three of them.
I wanted to like this one more, but I couldn’t because the world-building is pretty bad. Monsters and witches exist, and we know they generally don’t mix and that humans know about them. But that’s all on that front. Monsters and witches don’t get along so we can have extra relationship conflict? That’s all we’re given. On top of that, the terms “omega” and “heat” are thrown around a ton with zero explanation, which is problem because Calen being an omega witch in heat is the main driving force of the relationship and the plot. I had no idea what it all meant except that he needs a lot of sex. Lots of sex is great, but the reason was dumb. Also, what did him being an omega have to do with the company mergers? I have no clue.
It was also weird how generic the Warts and Claws business are. They’re just companies run by witches and monsters that produce….products…and apps? Tossing out random business words like office, merger, HR, and desk don’t tell me anything about what they’re doing! The whole plot is centered around some weird conspiracy taking place in the office building following a sudden merger, but why should I care? I don’t even know what they’re doing! I’d have rather had no plot and just the relationship.
Not So Kind Regards was just a disappointment. Nothing makes sense so I had trouble staying in the story and caring about anything going on. There is a ton of sex, so not all is lost, I guess.
