Reading Around the World: Where I Visted in 2021

I’ve always wanted to keep track of where the books I’ve read were set, but never thought about using Google Maps until last year! I had been using it to keep track of places I want to visit whenever I get to travel to Japan, but it never even occurred to me to make a map for my reading too! Renae @ Romantic Parvenu had shared her 2020 map and it was pure genius!

It’s very US- and Europe-centric, but I did manage to read several books in South America, Asia, and Africa as well! I’m actually surprised I didn’t read anything set in Australia though.

While I won’t force myself to read a book just because it’s set in a new-to-me location, I do hope to have a more varied map for 2022! It’s nice to visit places that I probably won’t ever see in real life.

If you’re looking to diversify the settings of your reading, don’t forget that I made some Armchair Travel Book Bingo Cards!

Sharing is caring!
