Books I Want to Read Again (and again and again)

Posted December 1, 2020 by Angie in Top Ten Tuesday / 12 Comments

I’m not a huge rereader. When I do, it’s normally an audiobook during the 24 Hour Readathon (I can only listen to books that I’ve read before, I don’t know why). Other times, it’s because it’s been 84 years and I need a refresher on the series before continuing.

However, there are some books that I want to read again because they’re just that good! Maybe 2021 will be the year of the reread!

Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas: I read this back in 2011? and was obsessed! I thought about it for months afterward! It was one of the first Erotica books I had read and the very first “dark” Romance that I read. I still find myself randomly thinking about it, and I wonder if it would have the same impact on me all these years later.

Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead: I have read this series twice and I want to read it again! This should probably become a regular thing, because I get these random urges to revisit Rose and Dimitri.

Georgina Kincaid Series by Richelle Mead: I’ve also read this entire series twice, but I want to again! And again! This is probably my all-time favorite series. It’s so good! Those covers are gross though.

Dark Swan Series by Richelle Mead: It’s not my favorite Richelle Mead series, but I loved it and was sad that it ended early. I’d still like to read it again though to see if I still love it.

Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi: I effing love these book! I had reread Shatter Me, but I want to read all of these and then finally read the new books!

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline: I’ve read this two or three times now and love the movie. I’d love to read it again before picking up the sequel.

The Meaning of Mariah Carey: I just read this in October, but I’ve heard amazing things about the audiobook which is narrated by Mariah herself!

Struck by Jennifer Bosworth: I was obsessed when I first read this book! It’s one of the very very few books I actually still own on my bookshelf. I want to read it again, but I’m also terrified that it might not hold up all these years later!

Zero Repeat Forever by G.S. Prendergast: This one might be cheating, because I technically have not read it. I beta read this one before it was published and I was in love! It was sooo good! I just know that it’s even better now after more editing. It’s been several years now, and the sequel is out, so perhaps it’s time to finally get to it.

Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson: I read this earlier this year and it blew my freaking mind! I was super confused while reading it, with good reason! I feel like I’d pick up on more on the second or third or fourth read through, because this book is absolutely crazy!

Sharing is caring!

The Vampire Academy Series has been on several lists this week. And I didn’t know Mariah Carey had a memoir out. 🙂

    My post.

    • I haven’t done my rounds yet, but I’m so glad to hear that Vampire Academy is getting the love it deserves! And her memoir just came out in…October? At least that’s when I read it, but it is new!

  2. I need to reread the Shatter Me series and then read the new ones as well. I love the poetic language, and it’s amazing on audio (since you can listen to rereads lol!)

    • I actually have listened to the first book! I don’t know if I want to listen to the next two or if I just want to reread all three before continuing.
