A Little Bit of Everything: The Unreviewed Books of January 2021

Posted February 1, 2021 by Angie in Monthly Recap / 0 Comments

I read a total of 82 books in January! I had a goal of 50 books and 10,000 pages to kick off the year and get a head start on my year goal (365 books), and I seem to be on track (understatement). Perhaps I’ll even hit my ultimate stretch goal of 500 books, which I haven’t reached since 2015.

Here are the 23 books that I won’t be posting reviews for.

These all were rereads that I reviewed previously. I listened to all of them on audio. Outlander was fantastic. I’m not fond of the Raven Cycle narrator though.

A couple of Ice Planet Barbarians novellas. Reviews of the main books are scheduled for this spring.

I had to get in some Nonfiction! I really enjoyed all of these.

This verse novel was interesting. It didn’t grab me like I hoped it would.

A couple of Black Romance novellas. Take It was okay; parts just rubbed me the wrong way. Me + Somebody’s Son was fun though: bookseller and florist!

I liked these, but I think I was expecting more. For both of these there wasn’t a sense of urgency to the plot. Things just kind of happen and get resolved. I may or may not continue either of these series.

These novellas are just bad. That’s it. Bad. Don’t bother.

I adored both of these! I want more! I don’t read enough graphic novels or comics.

Sharing is caring!
