One last challenge for 2022! I didn’t include this in my reading challenge sign-up post, because this one isn’t quite a reading challenge. Or at least, it’s not just a reading challenge. I’m not one for New Year Resolutions. In fact, I don’t believe in them at all. If you want to do something, just do it! Start any time! Start right now!
So I’m thinking of these “resolutions” as more of a challenge to complete my 2022 challenges and other goals I’d like to meet.
My 2022 Bookish Resolutions
- Clear out books I added to my GR to-read shelf in 2014 by reading or deleting them.
- Finish or catch-up with at least 9 series.
- Read 12 books that I bought prior to 2022.
- Read 12 nonfiction books.
- Post 12 non-review, non-meme blog posts.
- If I buy a book this year, I must read it this year.
- Finish organizing my Kindle books into folders.
- Review at least two-thirds of the books that I read.
What are your bookish goals for the new year?
Good luck with your goals! Reading any book you buy during this year sounds hard!
That’s actually the easiest one because I almost never buy books! π
I was gonna say that this one sounded hard too! π But there you go. You got this figured out. Lol.
Yep! On the rare occasion that I actually buy a book, I have to read it! I’m going to read the handful of books I bought this year too.
Oh wow, twelve non-meme non-review blog posts? That might be the hardest thing on the list, or it would be for me! Good luck this year!
I always want to write more discussion type posts, and I always fail at it! I’m going to do my best though!
Great resolutions. I’d have a hard time with the buy it and read this year since I buy way too many in a year. Which is the reason for the goal. I get it. If I set that goal it would certainly slow down my buying habits. I’m right there with you on the nonfiction. Not my go to read normally. Have fun! Happy New Year!
I almost never buy books, but when I do….I don’t read them. What’s the point in buying books that you never read? Which is why I have this goal!
I do love Nonfiction, but I rarely make time for it.
I like that you have a goal to read or delete any book bought in a certain time frame. I might need to adopt that approach! I’m not sure I have them easily organized that way though. I might just do pages of my goodreads shelves or something lol
I just sorted my “to-read” shelf by Date Added! I’ve also been in the process of putting my Kindle purchases and freebies into folders by year since I don’t have all of them on GR.
