Writing this post was nearly impossible, because what even happened in 2021? 2020 and 2021 kind of blur together in my mind for the most part. Last year was certainly a much better year for me than the previous one was, since I didn’t have a dog die, but beyond that…more of the same. I actually had to go back and read my 2020 recap to separate the two years! I did read 428 books though!
January
I started out the year super hopeful that this was going to be MYYEAR!!! I started an Etsy shop where I sell printables and other digital products. It’s been very slow going, but I’m happy with the progress I’ve made! I do want to step up my product creation and promotion this year though.
February-March
Um…I honestly cannot even remember.
April
I got my first vaccine! That was about it.
May
I got my second vaccine and it freaking sucked, but I’m glad I did it!
June-August
I had pink hair again…
September
At the very end of the month, my mom bought me a Nintendo Switch and with that all of my time was gone. My reading had already been decreasing, but now all I wanted to do was play games! At this point I only had Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but I was beyond content. For now.
October
I went to Disneyland Paris for my birthday! It was my first time out of the country, and I had a blast. Even though that isn’t where I really want to go (Japan!), I still had so much fun and look forward to going back someday!
November-December
The end of the year was just more reading and more gaming. I rescued Princess Peach in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Odyssey. I also rescued the first Toad in Luigi’s Mansion!
And that is about it..last year in a nutshell.
I’m in the same boat – 2020 and 2021 blur together for me as well. I actually read more in 2021 than in 2020, so that’s a bonus. I’m so glad you got to go to Paris this year, I know it wasn’t Japan, but it’s better than nowhere! Hoping your Japan trip gets to happen this year 🙂
Thanks! I really hope Japan opens to tourists this year. I had a spring trip all planned out, but that doesn’t look like it’s happening. So I just switched my dates to fall. *fingers crossed*
